Here is an unusual surplus item that may be of interest to windmill builders, modelers, hydrofoil experimenters and researchers in general. It is an Aluminum Airfoil Extrusion measuring 2.73 x .33 inches (6.93 x .84 cm). This symmetrical airfoil shape is technically known as the NACA 0012 profile, for which aerodynamic lift & drag properties are available: (Airfoil Lift/Drag Data). The material is 6005-T5 aluminum and the weight is approximately .87 pounds per foot. This airfoil is sold in stock lengths of 5 feet for $47.50 each, postage paid in the USA. We also offer a 3 inch long sample piece for $5, also postage paid.
